Jalozai Refugee Camp January 2001

The following set of photographs is a visual account of the desperate situation of newly-arrived Afghan refugees in Jalozai, Pakistan. In early January 2001 tens of children died as a result of a bitter cold wave. The Afghan Women's Mission made an emergency appeal for donations to provide blankets for the refugees.
