Afghan women rebuild Afghanistan

Work is moving forward energetically on the repair of tens of miles of water canals which will bring water to drought-stricken villages with close to 40,000 families in them. AWM and RAWA are carrying out this work in Farah Province, Afghanistan. Construction is expected to be completed by year's end. Click on a photo to begin the slide show.
