RAWA maintains many channels through which they try to make their cause known worldwide. Over the last year, as Afghanistan has become a major news item, RAWA has become known worldwide.

With support from the Afghan Women's mission, RAWA stages civil demonstrations and events to garner support and bring government issues to the public's attention.

RAWA demonstrated on International Human Rights Day, December 10, 2001, for democracy, human rights and women's rights from the United Nations. Donors through AWM supported the demonstration.

The 15th anniversary of Meena's death on February 4, 2002, was observed with speeches, songs, dances and a poem by AWM board member Neesha Mirchandani.

RAWA protests fundamentalism and anti-women concepts. Protests are effective in raising international awareness of the human rights and women's rights violations in Afghanistan.

An International Women's Day function on March 8, 2002, highlighted the current status of women's rights.
