Help Educate an Afghan Child!

December 20, 2005

RAWA is helping hundreds of children from very poor and often homeless backgrounds leave the streets in Afghanistan and give them a brighter future with their growing orphanage program. Their shelters are run as family homes; a local husband and wife care for the children and make sure they have a warm bed, warm and clean clothing, regular meals, a place to call home and enrollment in a local school.

In July 2005 RAWA was forced to relocate its flagship health care project, Malalai Hospital, from the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi to Khewa refugee camp. Khewa camp is located about 30 miles from Peshawar.
